I don't have anything nice to say about this place and it's staff. Former employee so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Be careful if you decide to donate here please.

Terrible experience they can't hit a vein very unprofessional and inexperienced. So the girl that stuck me the first time I don't even think was a phlebotomist because she had to get a second opinion on where to stick me then I clotted and they had to go to the other arm and this is now 5 days later both of my arms are bruised badly really bad and I probably won't be able to give again for another 7-8 days because of the bruises I still have need to hire people that know what they're doing and we need to pay me better because now it's costing me money cuz I can't come back. Is there a site would let me show you my bruises I would post them as well like I said it's been 6 days and my arms are both bruised up really bad. And now my arms ache they hurt really bad I'm just hoping it's not permanent damage because I'm in pain

Place is so amazing and the staff is so professional they almost get 2 stars. They deleted my last review about them blowing my vein out. They doordash food all day and never tip. Place is trash as are the majority of the employees. Do better. Be better.

Usually I have a pretty decent experience donating here. But I took a while long break from coming here. So now I come here for my "new donor" pay. Yesterday I went to donate around 2:40 ish it wasn't that busy. I understand that things have changed the have new prick your finger tools that are more stronger. I realized that my first time returning. My finger never bruised I donated twice both time finger never bruised. Didn't really have much pain after an hour. Well yesterday the tall African American male pricked my finger I don't know his name now I've had him prick my finger before with the old tools and it hurt he is too forceful with it now the new tools there's really no need to push into it and he did i told him that it hurt really bad blood was gushing even after I donated filled the cotton balls completely filled three bandages in total with applied pressure. Now majority of my finger is purple i might have to go to the emergency room with how bad it hurts ive tried icing it and putting warm compresses on it and its like it got worse.. this ofc will make one blood pressure spike im in pain. This will make me not want to donate. I don't want him pricking me he's a nice guy and all but way to forceful with the needles I pray you guys don't have him out on the floor bruising people in the future

I had a great experience as always! Fayth is Absolutely Awesome! She's very caring and gentle. She's very knowledgeable and her technique is so great, that I didn't even know when she poked me I felt nothing. My first time back, I had no flow happening so often so I had to switch to my left arm and she knew what to do immediately. She said you can't wait too long when switching arms or it won't work properly. I appreciate your help Fayth! The tecs I've had are wonderful! I appreciate everyone's kindness and it makes it comfortable donating. Amanda has also helped with my donation and she's very kind and caring as well. Everyone's professional but still has a sense of humor! Thank you everyone at CSL! Have a great day!

TLDR: Ive only had two reactions donating plasma and they were both at CSL. Long wait times and some unfriendly staff.
I've donated plenty of times before at both BioLife and CSL. The last few times at CSL ,I had a pretty bad reaction where I felt very faint and had multiple nurses fanning me and bringing me ice packs and such. The next time I went to donate at CSL I had the same reaction. I was scared of donating until I just recently went to BioLife and didn't have any reaction, as usual with them. I have no idea what really went wrong but I think it has something to do with the vein puncture. They were supportive during my reaction, but wait times are pretty long between the line for vitals ,the line for donations and then waiting to get hooked off the machine. They aren't too friendly there either. Good new donor bonus at least.

Some of the reviews on here are totally out there !
Been there about a 3 years now, some food for thought:
1. It can get really busy, staff works as fast as they can, but are constantly having to answer the phone and help people, if just half of the people that call could remember their donation days it would help so much. Remember you can donate 2x in a 7 day period, you can always come in a day after your regular donation day but not before. Then your donation days will change as well. Pay week runs Monday through Sunday, Your first five donations in a 35 day period for $65 after that you go on a sliding scale you getting in how many times you’ve donated in a 35 day period.
As a new donor when you arrive you will be asked for a valid photo ID, Social Security card, if you don’t have one , a copy of the last years W2 or 1099 will work as long as it has your full name and SSN on it, you might be asked to provide a piece of mail dated within last 60 days to verify your address (FDA) rules, you then have a profile created, watch a Consent Video that explains the process of collecting plasma, then off to the kiosk where you will scan your finger and verify identification, then you will answer 64 health related questions to check suitably for donation, then from there you get screened to check weight, pulse, blood pressure iron, protein etc to make sure your healthy to donate, if you pass screening, you will see medical staff for a short physical, if you pass that your taken to the front of the donor line, as a new donor you get a pass that lets you get in front of each line.
Staff here a very good about wearing gloves and a face shield for blood borne pathogen protection, bed and equipment a wiped down constantly.
Your money goes on a debit card, you can check your balance on it at the self service kiosk in the departure lounge , no charge. If you ask some of the donors, they can tell you where you can take some or all your money off. Once you’re paid in the system, any issues will need to be called in to the banks company, number is on the card.
If you’re a new donor, ask about referral program, extra possible $ for you and the person you refer .
Hopefully this answers some of your questions, good luck and hopefully you have a good experience

** Make sure you eat a good meal before donating,
Drink plenty of water the day before for best results.**

Some of the errors you might see at the kiosk :
Unable to uniquely identify you :
If you don’t see your picture, you may be using the wrong finger, or not applying enough pressure. Finger scanner or your finger may be dirty, ask for something to clean it off with.

Unable to determine the required interview questions,
May need to see staff ( medical ) or it may be it is not your day to donate.
